About Me!
My name is Markley Bortz (she/her/hers), and I am a recent graduate from Elon University with a BFA in Acting and minor in Theatrical Design and Technology with a concentration in costuming. I am currently based in Chicago.

I love being a part of every aspect of the theatre, from the early stages of development, to performance, to design and production, and I have made it my life's mission to be as involved as I can in this art form that I hold so close to my heart.
​
While pursuing my degree I have furthered my passion for developing my own new works, most recently Remains, an original full length play, which premiered November 2022 at Elon University.
​
As a perpetual student, I love learning about anything and everything, and as such I have acquired quite a lot of seemingly limitless trivia over the years, affectionately dubbed a walking encyclopedia by my friends. When I'm not acting or writing you can find me researching bad movies, cross stitching, or designing lavish apartments in the Sims 4.
